Why I Joined Elephants Can Dance: Connecting Technology to Humanity

Throughout my career, I’ve worked at the intersection of creativity, data, and technology. Businesses today have access to more technology than ever, but they still face fundamental challenges -  fragmented data and disconnected customer journeys, making it difficult to forge genuine connections with customers.


I joined Elephants Can Dance to bolster their Strategy and Consulting offering and help businesses overcome exactly these challenges.

A Focus on Humans, Not Just Tech

While new tools have helped, most digital interactions are functional and impersonal. The ability  to replicate the warmth and personal touch of human relationships through digital channels remains a challenge. Too often, technology businesses focus on the delivery of the tech itself, over the customer relationship. 

What drew me to ECD is their clear commitment to people first. Their brand position as The Human Connection Agency reflects a focus on the customer experience, not just implementation. Technology must serve the customer, when it does, it enables communications that are empathetic, personal, and trustworthy. For me, that’s exactly the right place to be.


The Power of a Connected Ecosystem

A strategy only matters if it works in the real world. We’ve all experienced brands that fail to recognise us or remember past interactions, it’s frustrating.

ECD’s strength lies in execution. They’ve built an ecosystem of best-of-breed partners—AWS, Amplitude, Tealium, Drupal, SAP Emarsys and more, that unify data, drive insight, and deliver connected experiences across channels. And importantly, they deliver exceptionally well.

This means we can create strategies that are data-driven, customer-centric, and confidently implemented with the right technology and great UX. That’s where real value is created, for both businesses and their customers - that’s what drives me.


A Culture That's Genuinely Loved

Equally important, I joined for the culture and the people. At the end of the day, it's the people you work with who drive your enjoyment and help you deliver great results. Culture is more than what’s written on a website, it’s about the day-to-day interactions and the relationships built with colleagues, clients and partners. In my time here, I've already discovered why they are so genuinely loved.

For me it was an easy decision.
